Minting

How to mint NGNT with Etherscan

Prerequisites

To be able to mint NGNT, two things are required:

  1. Your address (the one being managed with Metamask) has been made a minter address. Upon getting a wallet & an address, Token Mint will add the minter role to that address.

  2. A partner reserve bank account needs to be credited with the maximum amount that will be minted (minimum is N5m). After this credit has been verified, Token Mint will set the minting allowance to that amount. To increase this minting allowance, another credit is required.

Minting with Etherscan

Go to the NGNT Contract Address page. Navigate to Contract > Write as Proxy.

Interacting with NGNT Contract on Etherscan

Click Connect to Web3 - this will trigger a Metamask pop up, asking you to connect your wallet to Etherscan.

Scroll down to the mint function (Number 9).

Mint Function

You need to fund your Metamask Wallet with ETH to interact with smart contracts. All smart contract function calls are transactions that require ETH as (gas) fees.

Enter the amount to be minted (it is denominated in kobo) and the address to mint to. Click Write and approve the transaction in Metamask.
